personality?

So we (DH and I) just took an online personality test. I could write an entire pithy, interesting, thoughtful post exploring how personality tests do or don't work, but I won't; it's late, and I'm tired.

These are my results:
Your type is
ESFJ
slightly expressed extrovert;
slightly expressed sensing personality;
distinctively expressed feeling personality;
moderately expressed judging personality.

Anyone know what it means? Does it sound like me? :)

We got it from this website.

Hi again!
We are connected by Emily in Eugene! But I think she is friends of your sister? Maybe?

Anyway, I was just reading an article on what's your mommy style, based on the personality test that you took and this is what it says about you and your mommy style...

You strive to create a happy family where togetherness and harmony flourish. Whether you are taking your kids to the park or putting on a holiday feast, your efforts are directed toward having everyone get along. To many, the ESFJ mom personifies motherhood: She's domestic, promotes traditional values, provides familial order, and is very involved in her kids' daily lives. People- oriented, she's drawn to community and the social scene. She helps her kids discover the joys of groups.

So, is that you?

P.S. we moved here two years ago and decided to buy a house in the East part of Nampa, close to the freeway. It is less expensive to live out here, and there is a lot of new development going up. It is a little drive into the city but we don't mind. Email me if you have questions, not that i will have the answers =) wolstens@hotmail.com

Thanks for posting the "mommy" interpretation!! While I do meet the "people-oriented" part, I don't feel too domestic most days, and I'm not so sure I'm _very_ involved in my kids' daily lives. But it's interesting :)

Hmm... I guess that does describe you somewhat... although except for introvert/extrovert I don't always understand the terms... like "judging"... does it mean being judgemental or just recognizing how to judge your environment. Anyway, I think it takes a professional to administer and describe the results of these... personalities are too hard to put in a box, IMHO. Certainly you are a feeling and extrovert person, and you know how to judge (maybe be logical and reason?) things instead of being a hyper-decision maker like me.
So here I am: EIFP: slightly expressed extrovert, moderately expressed intuitive personality, distinctively expressed feeling personality, slightly expressed perceiving personality

I'm just very impressed that you can get your husband to DO an online personality test! (This is a good one, by the way). Another good one is the Enneagram, but I'm not sure if you can find a free one on the web. The book you can get re: the test you took is "Please Understand Me" and describes your type in very detailed descriptions, including how you should parent, what jobs are best for you, etc. etc.
